Varosha is a city in Cyprus that has turned into a ghost town. It’s no longer the bustling city Varosha used to be although it used to be very popular with toursists. It was the 1974 Turkish invasion that drove away all the inhabitants of the town. After the invasion was over, this area remains deserted but it stands entirely frozen just like how it prior to the invasion. When viewed from afar it is not difficult to believe actions are bustling within this city just like it was back in the early 1970s before invasion except that no one lives there anymore. Only thinking about stepping into this city itself is enough to give me a goosebump.
